Eman Rana

Eman is a freshman studying Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience at Loyola University Chicago with a minor in Arabic Language and Culture. She is from a small town in southern Illinois called Glen Carbon close to St. Louis, Missouri. Eman found her love for neuroscience while working with Dr. Pietra Bruni at Vanderbilt University in her high school years. Under Dr. Bruni’s mentorship, Eman developed an independent project testing how social media affected attention span in adolescent students. Since then, Eman’s interest in memory and attention has blossomed as she takes on a new chapter at LUC. In her spare time, Eman enjoys playing piano, spending time with her family, exploring Chicago's food scene, and volunteering through Loyola4chicago.
