Rowan Zdziarski-West

Rowan is a senior at Loyola University Chicago majoring in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience. She became interested in neuroscience after sustaining a concussion during adolescence, which led to a curiosity about brain function and recovery. This interest was further solidified while taking AP psychology in high school, ultimately motivating her to pursue a degree in neuroscience at the undergraduate level.

In addition to her academic work, Rowan is a veterinary technician and hopes to attend veterinary school. She is very passionate about animal welfare and wildlife conservation. Rowan also serves on the Neuroscience Society and the Chess Club Executive Boards at Loyola. Outside of academics and research, she enjoys cooking, playing the harp, and spending time with her doberman, Bucky.
