Morgan Brody

Morgan is a rising senior at Loyola University Chicago, majoring in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and Anthropology. Her interest in neuroscience was first fostered in high school. Under the International Baccalaureate Program, she took three years of HL Psychology, during which elements of neuroscience were incorporated into the curriculum. Since then, Morgan has been especially interested in psychopathology —specifically PTSD/trauma and how it affects the HPA axis and the consolidation of memories at the cellular level. She is currently a pre-med student with a budding interest in research, hoping to pursue neurology. Morgan hails from Tampa, Florida and has a huge passion for linguistics/language-learning (driving her to major in Anthropology). She is the Vice President of the Loyola Learning and Memory Association (LLAMA), and event coordinator for the Loyola Women in Neuroscience Association (LWiN), and a student rep for the Dana Foundation Neuroethics program at LUC. She is also currently the secretary of LUC Swing Dance Club, and the CAN Representative of French Club. She loves jazz, cafés, the color pink, and is a huge cat person (despite having a lovely dog named Sheba).

Morgan has been named a Mulcahy Scholar! She has presented at SfN, URES, and WSE.
