Grina Patel

Grina is a senior at Loyola University Chicago, majoring in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in psychology, on the premed track. Her interest in neuroscience sparked after taking a psychology course in high school as she was fascinated by the study of behavior, memory, and the mind. While also loving the study of biology and anatomy, neuroscience was the perfect blend of psych and bio. Recently, she became certified in phlebotomy and spent her summer working as a phlebotomist. She is also a part of many clubs at Loyola one being MEDLIFE, which partners with low-income communities in Latin America and Africa to improve their access to medicine. Last semester, she went on a service learning trip with MEDLIFE to Peru, where they set up mobile clinics in underprivileged areas. She loved being able to volunteer in Peru and hopes to go on many more mission trips in the future! She also enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with her friends!
